Both Needed The Blue Moon Diner

Okay guys. I think we're just about ready to get this crazy train rollin'! (@The Woman In Bloom just as I expected I absolutely adore your characters. Sophie seems so sweet and I am already on team Jerophie. Greyson is trouble. Oh my God. If he's the wolf, he'll be an English werewolf in New Mexico... ha!)

First I'd like to submit my last two characters for your approval. Also, keep in mind that because I'm 'DM'ing, neither of these (nor Jayne) will be the Wolf!

Selma Galloway
Owner, manager, head cook and sometimes waitress of The Blue Moon Diner, Selma does it all. She has a few skeletons in her closet, but who doesn't? She's just trying to run a business, here.

Raúl Villalobos
Aspiring musician and cook at the Blue Moon Diner. He's a dreamer, sometimes to a fault.

Next, we'll have to sign off on some of these relationships. Is "J" dating Sophie? Is "J" Marcia's son? Who already knows each other, and who's brand new? Obviously the diner staff all know each other.

Also, @AsherDavian , I was thinking Marcia should be the 'patrolman' character, HOWEVER, I decided it would be do-able to have her be the wolf. Either she wouldn't realize she's doing it (she would have regular blackouts, maybe?) or she would be 'investigating' with the ulterior motive of shifting suspicion from herself. Do you think that could work? That way, every character except for mine would be under suspicion.

I'm thinking Bruce could be some short regular, so employees at least know his name and features? Aside from, that I'm open to whatever. *Shrug*

@Sparrow Love it. He seems like he chills at diners a lot. Do you think the waitresses like him very much? Is he rude or creepy, or is he quiet? Maybe really nice or funny?

I'd say typically very quiet, but polite and friendly. Always leaving a reasonable tip and not afraid of making small talk, in some cases even telling the happier stories from the war. Often meeting other veterans he knows there, bringing in a small amount of business with his VFW friends that routinely stop by. To sum it up, image any old character from a movie; sitting off in the back reading a newspaper or maybe listening to the radio. He can be a bit harsh when talking about something he doesn't agree with, but never really means ill-will on anyone else.

I think I'm most looking forward to how Jedidiah interacts with Bruce. One claims to have seen monsters, and one has seen monsters before, and they didn't look like those grainy pictures of a hairy man in the woods. XD

Hehe, that's why I wrote him up. The second I saw the concept my brain went. Yes, write a veteran of the war.

I'm down! That sounds good to me. And making such a 'cuddly' cop the wolf would be hilarious.

I'm thinking Nate basically only opens up to Sophie--she (Nate) is a hardcore introvert with some powerful insecurities. If that leads to her becoming almost stalker-ish towards Sophie, that might be an interesting dynamic. Luke, on the other hand, is blowing through, so if he forms any sorts of bonds, relationships or rivalries, it'll be on the fly.

You guys are the best. I can't wait for this! I think it's going to be a thrilling, scary, funny ride. What a great group of writers you all are. :)

I think we're all ready to begin, unless anyone has any further questions or ideas or concerns?

I'm gonna determine the wolf by rolling one dice for the writer and another for that writer's character. (That way anyone has a fair shot)

Also, should we try to set up a posting order, at least for our first round of posts? Or should we just kind of fall into our own rhythm?

Since we're starting with an exposition, I'll just let you guys post when you get the chance to post, and we can use that as an initial posting order. I'm SO EXCITED.

Kate you are most kind! The 'English werewolf in New Mexico', comment made my day ;). Sophie has some secrets of her own, I'm still figuring out what they might all be. I like how @AsherDavian mentioned that her and Nate are gonna have some kind of intiguing bond. I thought it could be of interest if Sophie were dating 'J'; just to cause a bit of obstacle and controversy since it IS the 60's. But they could also just be close, or maybe SHE is interested in him, whether the feelings are reciprocated back or not. Anything can happen, it's all up in the air :). Very excited!

I'll be writing the opening post right now, so be on the lookout!

Also, if anybody's interested, I'm making some purdy (well... some of them are) trading cards of our characters here. Feel free to send me any info on the characters you want and I'll add it on there. :)

@The Woman In Bloom true!

Here's an arbitrary order...

1) Me
2) Asher 3) Woman (You guys are both online right now...)
4) Sparrow
5) Square (He's more of a night owl I've noticed... :D)

But I suppose we should avoid too many character interactions in the first round anyway, just so everyone gets the chance to introduce their characters as they see fit.

Hm... Depending on how J's parents feel about Sophie, maybe he flirts with her because he knows she's into him and his parents disapprove. That uncertainty could also play into the roleplay, either making him an eventual target for Sophie or making an ally to help him get out alive.
