Both Needed The Buried City - a Dark Fantasy RP

I'm hoping for more of a free form, where our characters explore the dungeon at their leisure, with hopefully a few nods to the reasons why they entered the dungeon. Merely surviving in the Buried City should be just difficult enough to keep it interesting:

Hm, alright. You can count me in. I'll get started on my character sheet here in a few.

@Sanity43217 Got my character set up. Lemme know if there's any issues with it.

Name: Flynn
Age: Mid-twenties
Gender: Male
Race: Human

Class: Thief/Rogue
Weapons: Old scimitar
Skills: Acrobatics; Swordsmanship; Stealth; Perception(traps, ambushes, etc)
Class Abilities: Uncanny reflexes; Sleight of hand; Lock-picking
Starting Equipment: Lightweight apparel; Sword; A couple of lockpicks

Reason For Entering Buried City: Flynn, a former prisoner, has been exiled to the buried city. Simply put, they needed his cell for a more dangerous criminal. So it was his luck, that they'd armed him with a spare set of clothes and an old worn out sword before sending him into the depths.

Bio: His story an all too common one, Flynn grew up as an orphan. Jumping from orphanage to orphanage, he was barely a pre-teen before landing permanently on the streets. From there, he was quickly picked up by a gang, learning the ways of a thief. Hunger was a powerful motivator and it saw him swiftly excel at his art. As he became a young man, Flynn was taught much more than petty thievery. Slapdash swordsmanship, rough parkour, the sixth sense to detect imminent danger, and other like-minded skills turned him into a full-fledged rogue by the time he was a full-grown man.

Looks good.

Question. In my character's bio I refer to a priesthood but wasn't aware that there was the Faith. Perhaps said Priesthood that Sister Pylet is in may be a sanction under the Faith/ the Order?

Edit: There also seems to be lore in this RP given your character profile. Do you have it written down and saved where I can read it to further immerse Sister Pylet?

The Order isn't really the biggest religion, just the most obnoxious. There is a full pantheon of Gods that are worshiped throughout the land, which aid rather not go into as it would railroad people who wish to play clerics.
So, the Order isn't the biggest religion, and a lot of people don't see them as a religion, but a gang of mercenaries who use religious ideals, with a few people thinking they are cultists.
The thing is they don't believe in the pantheon, despite there actually being evidence to the contrary (cleric magic), though some members might concede that other gods exist if forced to interact with clerics of other religions.

I don't have lore WRITTEN up on the world as a whole, largely because this RP will be set underground, in a sealed off environment, so the greater setting will have little influence, and my personal style of RPing and story telling involves hinting at places and things early as if everyone knows of them, so readers draw their own conclusions based on context clues, then go into them later.

So to that end, we can basically come up with our own lore of the land as long as it coincides with the pre-determined lore and setting?

Basically as long as there is a general consistency, yeah. If go saying stuff that undermines another character, without giving an option for reputable, I'll shoot it down. For example, if someone said that swords were for noble people only, which in itself isn't a far stretch, as it was the case in Japan for a while, I would shoot it down. NOT because it is unreasonable to assume that swords are only for nobles, its a great policing tool, but rather because you have created an orphan rogue who uses a sword.
So, yeah, if it keeps consistent with what has already been said, it's fine. I'm not gonna hold someone back based on some lore I haven't put up.

Sounds solid to me. How many people are you trying to get for this?

I like the idea of how you are building off of the character bio's that are added as more people join. Interesting way of expansion!

Come, come! One and all!

@Holt +fingers crossed.+
@Sanity43217 I can always make another character if you want; to help provide more interaction. I can handle multiple characters. I do it all the time for my Liphilius RP!

We're good to start. Feel free to make your first post.

@Sanity43217 Would you like for me to make another character for this RP to help give more interaction? Or?

Edit: Might I also suggest a private conversation between all who is involved with this RP to better help with plotting and upkeep?

If you want. Three should be enough for now. Once we actually enter the dungeon, there will be more interaction as we have to benefit from each other's skills, whether it be Pylet's healing, Michael's monster hunting or Flynn getting the group past traps. The three should work together to survive, and the more people we add (not that I'm discouraging people from joining), the easier the dungeon will be, which isn't really what I'm going. Three people is enough to keep the feel that death could and likely is lurking behind every corner.

As for the private chat, why not just plan here?

Just putting my two cents in. I'm cool either way. Also, @Sanity43217, I am assuming you want to get a starting post on for your character before I coninue. Or is that something you don't mind?
