It is apparent that nearly everyone in their childhood has been exposed to fairytales. Ones filled with princesses and dragons, heroes and villains. Magical beasts and damsel in distresses, the list just goes on and on. But what if I told you that there's a school for the outcasts AND the popular? ...One where both sides of the story are told? Welcome to the school of Adestria, where misfits and stars alike attend to fulfil their fates as either the good OR the evil.

Adestria is a school separated by two dictating programs. One good and, well, you guessed it- one evil. It is a school where the heroes study and train to become just like the ones in the legends and the villains... well they do the same thing. Hidden from the modern world, Adestria is a safe-haven for those and a torturous prison for others, it simply depends on how you, or your character experiences it. So come, join us on this small adventure down this wonky rabbit hole. Be the Alice in our wonderland.
(And yes boys can be Alice's too, smh).

..... Annnyyywayy this idea is heavily based off of the book " The school for good & evil" by Somain Chainani, the background being about two girls who seemingly get into the wrong program (the beautiful, talented one is forced into the school of evil, where her true colours begin to show. And the seemingly "ugly" and "cruel" girl is accidentally cast into the school of good.) And basically, throughout the book they try to revert their positions as they think it's nothing but a mistake. But alas, it's no accident and the two girls truly belong where they already are... cheesy right?

But....I kind of want to avoid that cliché and make things more realistic. Where it is set in modern times with cellphones and all of that jazz. Where drinking, drugs, and sex is exchanged between the two parties- despite their condemned hatred for one another. Also where Adestria is seen as a seemingly regular college until, well, one enters.


^^^And yet, I don't really have a concrete plot, just some background details and pointers here and there. I feel as though the plot could be better discussed once there are more people. But if you're interested already, feel free to join! This is my first time dictating a group rp so go easy on me fam.

• Characters can be whatever creature that come from the story books. Like maybe we have a descendent of Rumpelstillskin or the beast from Beauty and the Beast. This also goes with magic, whatever's in the folklore of legends, can come here too. So really, go crazy!

Overall appearance: Dirty blond, and riptide color eyes, that change from sea-foam green to light blue
Personality: Soft spoken, and an observer. He's calculated and hates unnecessary risks. He likes to have all of the facts before he acts. He's loyal and protective once he's claimed you as a friend. He's a little wary around people he doesn't know.
Abilities: Magic caster with a familiar, but specialized in options. The familiar is the only physical defense he has, but he's adequate at casting spells

Background/bio: Piers grew up in a small castle in Northern England. His family is nobility, but low enough they're often forgotten. He's a warlock, and specializes in potions. The panther tattoo is a pet and a defense mechanism if threatened. Her name is Xandra and she's very protective of her master. His family has been using magic for centuries. He's well educated and very proper.

Name: Xaviss Haluci Somnium(Dream in Latin)

Build: Thin, but slightly lean.

Tattoos/piercings: Multiple piercings in ears, an upper and lower corner eyebrow piercing(right eyebrow), and spider bite lip piercings.

Personality: Retentive, Cynical, Sarcastic, Arrogant, Picky, Impulsive, Secretive, a little Paranoid, and Deceptive.

Abilities/ magic: Playing with the minds of others and their nightmares. He can't physically do anything, but he can mess with your head and bring you hallucinations. He also can seem to "call" something in the dark of the night if he needs enough help.

Background/bio:
Xaviss lived only in the dark. In closets and under beds, for it was what he was taught. If he wanted to have fun, he'd hide under the stairs or in the basements of countless people's homes. He himself didn't have place to live, but he didn't need one when he could roam from home to home with his "father". They never talked, but that's not what they needed. All that mattered to his "father" was to have Xaviss watch him work and to follow in his footsteps.
It wasn't until he was 8 when he was discovered by a homeowner under a bed and brought to an orphanage that he finally started to learn how to be a human being. He learned to talk and write quickly, but always seemed to "talk" to "something" in the dark of the night. His sleeping under the beds and in closets didn't stop either...Then, whenever he was having trouble with the other children, it would seem at night they'd all have horrendous nightmares. Some would even disappear after enough nights of those constant nightmares.
Xaviss was never adopted by a family for long and was always dropped off back at the orphanage. Each family either saying that they couldn't probably care for the child or that he was just too "weird" in general. Thus he was promptly kicked out when he reached 18, having never been truly adopted. Now Xaviss takes what he wants whenever he can get it, and finds no other being worth his time.

Personality: Hot headed, but tries not to be, can be impulsive and slightly obsessive once she finds something she likes. She's very sociable and inclusive when not on the 'hunt'.

Abilities/ magic: A modern relative of the Sphinx, she can compel people towards her, and (should they fail to answer her riddle), petrify them. Her main weapon is her cat-like agility, concealed claws, and sharp teeth.

Background/bio: She grew up in a poor Egyptian town, and would help her mother every weekend with guiding tourists around the great pyramids. As she grew up, she began to notice that food started to taste rotten, until eventually the only food she could stomach was meat, and raw meat at that. After trying everything to wean Bilmeceler off the meat, her mother snapped when she found the remains of a rat on her daughters plate, and kicked her out, crying that the young girl was cursed . Hungry and alone, she went to the pyramids, hoping to attract tourists in the morning. Instead she found a man, drunk, dancing at the feet of the sphinx. She didn't exactly want to hurt him, but she was so hungry … she can't remember what compelled her to ask the man a simple riddle - maybe it was the glaring eyes of the sphinx, maybe it was her reluctance to carry out the act she'd thought up, but either way, she found out exactly why her mother had called her cursed that night, and in honour of her new discovery, changed her name to Sphinx. Now, whenever the craving gets to her, she goes out in search of another meal.

Background/bio: Isaac Church is the son of a human and a banshee. He never met his mom, and furthermore, never asked his dad how he managed to knock up a ghost. As Isaac got older, he realized that he had quite a bit of his mother in him, namely her banshee abilities. The wailing came first, which freaked the neighbors out. Training his abilities...which involved a lot of going to the library and reading about what a banshee even was...took a lot of time. Isaac was around fifteen when he killed his first person by song. He wasn't aware that was even possible, and avoids that at all cost now. Isaac also did not attend college as soon as his father pressured him to, simply because he felt no need. A school to help him be...what, more evil? Isaac definitely wasn't given any powers for good. After a few years of repeated hounding, Isaac eventually gave in to his father's wishes. At the very least, this school would give him a better idea of how to handle himself.

Floortilting (Self) - Marcus doesn't abide by normal gravity. He can make himself walk up walls and ceilings as if they are the ground. Working under his own gravitational field that only effects him.
Enhanced Condition - Due to his Demonic heritage, Marcus is strong enough to lift small cars and bend metal, fast enough to move at/beyond the high-way speed limit, durable enough to withstand being thrown off tall buildings.
Post-Mortem Shapeshifting - Marcus can assume the identity of anyone he has killed.
Shapeshifting Combat - Marcus can use shapeshifting with his physical combat, changing his form for attack, defense, movement and distraction, forming weaponry from his body, etc.

Being raised by a Witch, he learned how to use magic. He specialised in 'Kinetics.' Gaining the ability of Magical Telekinesis.

Background/bio: Marcus's story starts about a year before he was born. His mother made two deals. One with a Witch, asking for a special Grimoire in exchange for her first born son. The second deal was asking a demon for Immortality in exchange for having the demon's child. Thus, Marcus was born. His upbringing the result of a supernatural custody battle. Marcus was raised by the witch, spending weekends and every second Christmas in Hell.

Personality: Jun is a very straightforward person, having no tolerance for bullshit, not even in the slightest. She is not naive nor gullible as most would assume, considering her alignment. She is however, quick-witted and always on guard, regardless of her situation. But alas, when she's not stuck in the books, she's actually a very approachable person. Slightly on the shyer side of the spectrum, but still acquires a ton of unsuspecting fun.


Alignment: Good

Abilities/ magic: Extreme combat skills, elite use of weaponry. Tactical knowledge and *strategy. As for magic, Jun knows a fair bit about witchcraft, having learnt about it in the books- it's one of her many self-taught skills.

Background/bio: Juns family is practically considered nobility. Thanks to their long heritage in the military, the Dai family is one of respect, grace and honour. But alas the lineage had ended with the birth of Jun herself- and not a boy, much to the grave disappointment of her father. As women in their land don't usually participate in such "masculine" battles. And so, his dream to bring forth an heir to the Dai legacy was shattered- along with their relationship. Meanwhile her mother was a submissive woman, being the only parent that tended to the child during her youth. And yet, Jun still sought after her fathers approval like a dog to a bone. Spending countless hours in the courtyard sparring and many in the library for the sake of useful knowledge. But, she never got it and probably never will. For now she was forced to attend this school, to atleast bring something to her name.
