Whoa thanks for such a thorough reply @dispatch !
It's all starting to look less scary now, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes :)

As for classes, I'd go for more hands on challenges or expeditions, which also benefit the school as a whole, or the professor's own projects, or even a character's magnum opus.
As an example, a Beastmastery class where we go out into the wild to encounter various magical creatures. Some may be super cute, others super dangerous. And the final test might be to tame and train a particularly dangerous beast to become the next guardian of CU!

And I might be up for writing a professor too! I just want to get a bit more familiar with things first...

Oh, and a crazy idea... What if one class is dedicated to each player character teaching others about their own magic type? With such a diverse set of talents, it would make sense to share our own knowledge with the class. So everyone gets a turn being the teacher, and to show off and develop their magic system.

Going to read through the characters we have so far, to get a better idea of how powerful a student's magic tends to be...

So, question, I have an idea for a character who's main magic is pretty much using magic to change around his body in a fight, such as encase himself in bone armor, make a arm blade made up of bone with stomach acid coated on it, flesh whip, etc, this being the character for using magic to modify his own body for combat and other needs. How would you feel about a character like that?

Zero problems at all. Might be considered to be horrifyingly gory IC, but nothing’s wrong with that OOC, and it’s not the worst thing most grizzled professors have seen go for it!

Yes, absolutely! Celestial University actually has a (well-equipped and staffed and ethical) zoo, aquarium, aviary, a farm & ranch, and a multi-biome nature center on the continent—and they have arrangements with hundreds of off-campus sites so that students can visit and study. YC could fit anywhere into that!

Another question, how is it exactly they get aceepted? Are other people allowed to see them get transported to this multiversal realm or is it that they just dissapear?

They get sent an invitation in whatever way would be appropriate for their character/world. Email, phone call, parchment, raven, demon rising from Hell, etc
