That would work great, because Brianna would likely have a key to those trucks on her keychain, and if one of them is parked somewhere she can just hop in and start it up.

It could even be like in Terminator 2, when Arnold rips open the dash, about to hotwire a vehicle, and John Connor holds up the key in front of his face.

Sounds like a narrow miss, but does that mean a geist mech would be chasing us as we drive away? ...like the T-Rex in Jurassic Park, if only dinosaurs could shoot lasers when they roar...

Oh I see, so it was like the geist driver parked it there, ran off into a corner, and called in the location to his buddy outside for where to shoot?

I can imagine Kerra's chagrin to be straddling an AC/5 shell in the back of the truck like that guy in that old movie who was riding the A-bomb.

On another topic, I've been digging around those mechwave tracks on youtube, looking for the music I want to start playing when Kerra finally straps into her cockpit and punches the ignition.

Maybe the ground crew enlist your Infiltrator to help them load heavy ammunition into the big assault mechs that are a pain in the ass to reach with forklifts/cranes/elevators but would take seconds for an 8m tall mecha with hands to take care of.

I hadn't thought of using the jets for lateral movement, that's an interesting idea. Heavily terrain-dependent, of course--you don't want to catch a random eminence and flip over--but if the ground is flat it could really throw off an enemy's targeting in a pinch. Like a Max Payne bullet time dive if you time it right. I'm worried that if I jet up vertically into the air, I'll just become a target for every laser and missile battery in range, but keeping low to the ground while jetting sounds like a smooth ninja move. Like a hypersonic missile skimming the water to stay under the radar.

Also found this track for when Talaris is stalking through a quiet forest in predator mode.

Music for when Talaris has to evade enemy fire while waiting for its PPC to cool down.

Reminds me of the "CP Violation" track in Half-Life 2. Or one of the evasion tracks from a MGS game.

*Talaris hides under a very big box, labeled "The Very Big Orange"*

Edit: Also this one caught my ear for being just so pure 80s. It could be like a training montage or something.

In fact it kind of reminds me of this goofy retro video made by a channel called Corridor

We did a joint post which now brings us to the hangar. This seems like JEBR's cue to join the party.

I guess Valtiel and Ditto's characters could already be out there fighting, or arriving late, or who knows.

Also should we give our new lance a name? I was gonna have Kerra suggest something like "FRAC lance". It stands for Fuckups, Retards, and Cripples. A name she'd heard being thrown around a lot by military types back on her home colony, as a catch-all for anyone who doesn't have a proper unit assignment.

I've been thinking of a way to unite. I have to drive for two days irl, but I might have time at night tomorrow. Mostly I'm worried about contradicting the geist, in description or capability. And also, would you prefer me to come to you, or you to come to me? I was thinking it might be easier to be in Bay 3 - which should be closest and allows me to defend/have less interaction with the geist.
