Oh, don't worry, new tiny posts are fine, I make 'em all the time :p You'd be able to hear yelling, screaming, a scuffle, anything like that, so, you'd likely hear Mackenzie yelling at Hines, but not a conversation at normal volumes ^_^
 
Oh boy, we can all be on edge from hearing her be bullied then, or just indignant about it.
 
*nods nods* Yay! I also want to promise that, after this intensive narration from me, we're going to open up and get loose. This is what large events concerning the larger plot or involving danger to characters are going to be like, guided, but open to editing and interpretation before we continue on from a scene.
 
I think we're fine with the amount of direction, at least speaking for myself. I think you controlling to NPC's, or not, could be made more clear. The only thing I wasn't sure on was how much I could take control of Hines or how much of a conversation he was allowed to have with Nathan. So I just kind of answered your question and left it at that. If I can do more in the future, I will.
 
Anxiety is causing me insomnia that may take a while to beat but I'll be doing my best. But the guards should be grabbing Katar now I take it?
 
@Laughingstokk *nods nods* I want to encourage an open-use policy with NPCs for the most part. Plot heavy moments like this are tough because I need to speak through certain NPCs a lot, and they need to be at my disposal throughout the scene, but I'm happy to PM and collaborate. If you feel comfortable taking my direction, then you get full reigns in plot times. Outside of plot heavy events, do whatever you like! You've had to put up with me going on and on.

@Beppen Yeah, I was reading over Katar's background for ideas about what Hines would ask about, but I realized that there was a bit of stuff that we hashed out in PMs that wasn't reflected in the posted one, and like ... the posted one has some continuity issues that I didn't want to base Hines' question off of.

After having slept on it, I would think that he would probably innocently suggest that it must have been kind of amazing to find out that she had done all that she had (her inciting incident) without even knowing it, that it must have made her feel kind of powerful. He'll be trying to see if Katar is the kind of person who would be easily corrupted by power.
 
Since you know things we don't about Hines, I think it would go best in his case for you to retain more control of him but if you're confident we won't mess it up, I'll do my best once my thoughts clear up.
 
I definitely have an idea of where I want the RP to go, and have specific ideas concerning the themes of human conflict and the weight of societal roles on those who must bear them, and bigotry, etc, but I do trust you guys to carry those themes. It's only like ... there's a lot of dense setting information, like Hines waving people through to a side room instead of the hallway if they make it past the initial interview. I also have trouble erm ... like ... translating thoughts clearly into words? I forget things and make corrections and ... presenting a block of cohesive and coherent information can be a struggle for me, so I sometimes worry I've buried a lead, or made some important information only accessible by sifting through a buncha bull.

I also have trouble letting go, and am completely open to you guys being like ... Cheshire ... Chill.
 
@Baxter Peters I dun think Hines is as much of a bigot as one would find in the ranks of the BIA, and likely feels that giving Whitney the full Guantanamo treatment isn't appropriate. I think he would take the approach of terra inferma, seeming like he's on her side only to back the notion that she's an inherent risk despite having no intention to use her powers for harm. I could see him having her brought in, and asking the HCO that normally guards the interview to leave on the grounds that Whitney is already cuffed and hooded. He'd make a shallow empathy statement and then ask if she can understand and appreciate the threat that her powers pose, and basically try to justify guilty and unable to be proven innocent to her.

hello! Im interested but does the No smut mean no erotic roleplay whatsoever? I love roleplaying super hero or magic roleplays but I love the occurrence of an erotic scene happening, I have a character In mind I'd really love to use but she's sorta a succubus LOL

is there a chance on having a Discord OOC server? Once again, Im very interested! I just dont want to ruin how things are going by having a very flirty chaotic character enter, (I normally enjoy playing with a group of my characters, whats the limit of characters per player?)
 
I'm afraid that Discord links are verboten on this forum, so no go on a Discord anything. As far as erotic content goes, there's no reason characters couldn't spin off their own scenes into separate threads, but I think the main storyline is smut free, exploring a dystopian change in society provoked by the emergence of inhumans.
 
@Psycho Bunny Yas, no smut means that there won't be any directly sexual content in the plot. Characters may end up in hot and heavy situations, especially after having been in captivity for so long, but it will be a ... heavy-petting-and-then-fade-to-black type of situation. As for a succubus character, I'm not currently accepting characters with supernatural origins. Characters must have been human before the even described in the setting notes, after which they gained spontaneously developed some kind of super power.
