Personality: Head strong and steadfast, Asena is no pushover. Goal-oriented, she knows what she wants and believes she knows what is best, not only for herself, but for everyone. She enjoys playful banter and does have a good sense of humor.

Personality: Nesryn is a woman of practiced composure and addresses most people in an almost unnaturally polite fashion. Quiet, she's an observer, preferring to listen and watch rather than talk and draw attention. Her demeanor tends to be kind and gentle, her movements soft and delicate, though these traits have others often mistake her as an innocent and fragile girl. She uses this to her advantage, her kills often dying with looks of utter shock.
Strengths: Precision/focus. She's quick and deadly with her knives. Trustworthy and friendly, people tend to tell her more than they ought.
Weaknesses: Afraid of heights. She can be overprotective of people she cares about. Can become oddly jealous of seemingly random things.

- Azaki: Trusted Advisor. Asena inadvertently saved his life by distracting an assassin when she crashes a banquet. She turns out to be the person his lord asked him to protect: the daughter of the woman his lord loved.

Nesryn was born a hybrid to a humana mother and an Elvilette father, both of whom were known for either their strong political influence or their strong use of Magis within their community. Her mother was related to royal blood, but her choice in mate stripped her of her inheritance. However, it was her father that drew the most attention with his Gol Magis and when suspicions that he used his power to manipulate Nesryn's mother could not be curbed, they fled with their daughter in tow, though wherever they went, trouble seemed to follow.
Displaying signs that Nesryn also possessed a gift of Magis, it was at an early age her parents sent her to the College of Arcadia in order to better protect her. It'd be the last she'd ever see of them.
Receiving word her parents were dead, Nesryn doesn't truly know what had happened to them. All the stories were different, but the most popular of them being that her father's use of Gol Magis caused him to go insane and in his insanity, he killed her mother and then himself.
Nesryn tried her best to stay in the college to finish her studies, discovering she had an affinity for Liph Magis, but the whispers that she practiced Gol Magis and horrible taunting of select fellow students ended up being too much for her.
Fleeing from the college, she found herself in Bleashaven, capital of the kingdom of Batestar, and met a man, Ignis, that would change her life forever. Witnessing her first death as a result of what she thought only a freak accident, Ignis had insisted it was she who had made that kill and, seeing potential, introduced her to The Velvet Quill. Over the course of years, she grew into becoming one of their deadliest assassins, the deadliest always being the ones who remained unknown.
Although still an active member, she was encouraged to become a bodyguard and over the years she's been one, she has a suspicion that her role as bodyguard to her current employer is no mere coincidence.
